In late 2009 Brodie & Dan Wallace decided we need a change & a challenge so we started a small chicken shop. After 6 months of customers asking for beef , lamb & pork we decided to change to traditional butcher shop.
Starting with just us two & a chef we now employ 3 butchers , 2 apprentice butchers , 3 chefs , 1 delivery driver & a full time cleaner plus myself & Brodie.
We pride ourselves in our high quality & have been recognised with winning multiple Wangaratta business awards , 7 gold medals in the Victorian sausage king competition, top 5 in the Victorian butcher shop of the year plus many more.
We sponsor & support many local sporting groups , community groups , schools & more.

We had always wanted to open a shop, but seeing an abundance of “crap meat” in supermarkets gave him the biggest incentive.
We opened Your Everyday Gourmet more than eight years ago with the support of farmers. He said having a strong farmer and butcher relationships was crucial with both parties having the opportunity to learn from each other.
